There are two venues this is a review of the Mornington fabric store. There is a Merricks venue for workshops that I have written about here.
Treehouse textiles is a modern, contemporary retail shop that has a workshop space designed to inspire your creativity by providing a relaxed inclusive and enjoyable crafting environment. While providing ultimate customer service.
Located in the centre of Mornington. Treehouse Textiles aims to be a store with a modern contemporary feel that is light and airy and full of fabric goodness.
Inspired by a great idea Emma and Sarah have built their concept of a beautiful workshop into a beautiful store.
Window display (Is what a prospective customer first sees that draws them to your store, to the signage that directs them around, and the merchandising displays that catch their eye and ultimately influence them to purchase something)
These are probably my favourite store windows so far. There is a sewing/patchwork story – you can tell what is in store for you. They are bright and well lit. Each window has a focal point that draws you into the store to see what else is inside. They are simple and not cluttered. (10 out of 10)
The layout of store/presentation (Presentation should serve to fulfil your customer’s needs as they shop with you. A good store design and layout will ensure that shoppers can move comfortably and easily throughout the space, and it will allow them to find what they’re looking for)
This is an eye-catching store with plenty of idea stirring processes on display. There are quilts, fabrics, notions and threads all like a candy store. It is easy to move around. It is not at all cluttered. As you move around the store you find yourself inspired which is how a quilting store should be. There is a relaxed vibe that makes you feel welcomed. Treehouse Textiles is a vibrant space offering workshops from beginners to advanced in all varieties of textiles including patchwork, quilting, dressmaking, knitting and crochet. There are regular guest teachers. (10 out of 10)
Even though there was a quilting group on the go at the time I went into the store Emma was very welcoming. She let me browse a little and offered assistance. She then commented on my purchases and asked me about my projects. I left feeling that I had been part of a lovely interaction and that an effort had been made. (10 out of 10)
My experience vs stores objectives
Overall I score the store today 30 out of 30. I loved it and I will be back.
Treehouse Textiles is an inspirational space. Sometimes you just enter a store and it has the right feel about it. Emma has put a lot of thought into the bolts and they harmonise together. There is a mix of designers and collections but they all work in together to inspire. I felt very comfortable browsing. Patterns lured you closer for a look. The attention to detail is divine. Well done Emma, a truly beautiful store.
