Okay so I love to be organised – I love my lists. So at the start of the week I spend time planning the rest of the week.
If I am being very organised – I try before we go to the supermarket to have done a meal plan. We even have a meal planner.
I plan my working week – that is am I presenting any projects, helping any new staff, did I promise to bring anything in. Or even as simple as it being a birthday and organise a card or a little thankyou present.
Socially there is planning for presents and nights out.
Most important though is my creative planning. At the start of the month I have a list of my WIPS (works in progress).
So I refer to this throughout the week and month. Then I know that this week for example in the evenings I will cut, baste and sew a rosette. It will only take me one – two weeks to get a rosette down, but I won’t schedule any other craftiness during this time. If it were going to be longer I would maybe add in some needlepoint or a few machine pieced blocks to mix it up.
I also have a shopping type list in my planner for any additional fabrics or threads I might need so on my day off I can go shopping all in one go.
If I am lucky there is a quilt show that I can go to that will get the creative juices flowing. This has to be planned around my weekends on call as those are organised in advance.
What do other people do on a Sunday? Is there week planning or just lots of yummy brunching (which I love to do too)!
